In 2019, we decided it was time to venture away from West Michigan and expand Excel Propane into Mid-Michigan. A new office building with an attached garage was constructed in Ionia, MI. Two 30,000 gallon storage tanks were installed along with a fill shed.  Ionia is sandwiched directly between Grand Rapids and Lansing, which allowed us to service some great Mid-Michigan communities. The new facility was constructed on a 6-acre parcel on M-66 Hwy just south of downtown Ionia.  

With opening a brand new office over an hour away from any other Excel Propane office, we really needed an experienced propane professional to take charge of the new facility. Fortunately, we had a senior service tech from our Fremont office raise his hand to take on the challenge of managing the new office. He moved to the Ionia area and has helped build an amazing team that now provides the best propane service in Mid-Michigan.
