In 2024, Excel Propane opened a Refueling Storage Facility in the Dowagiac Industrial Park. We purchased a 1.79 acre plot from the City of Dowagiac. This was the first time we had ever purchased a plot of land in an industrial park. While the industrial park had other sites sold and a fire station being built, our storage facility was actually the first completed and operational site.
We had a 30,000 gallon storage tank installed on the site along with a pump/motor and bulkhead which allowed for us to load and unload from the facility. We also added cleared space to store residential bulk tanks such as 500 gallon and 330 gallon tanks. The new location allowed us to expand our service area in Berrien, Cass, and St Joseph County. We now service customers all the way to the Indiana border!
The Dowagiac facility is managed and used by our amazing team from the Paw Paw office. They use the facility to refill our delivery trucks and grab tanks for installs with our service trucks. This allows our team to better serve many of our current customers as well as extend our service area.
